Job Summary: Overall management of all inventory related items including tires, tools, and shop supplies. He will also be responsible for vendor management, specific to daily interaction with vendors, issuing purchase orders, and tracking costs. They will also review and approve outside vendor invoices. Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily ordering of parts and managing inventory levels
Issuing and reconciling purchase orders
Cycle counts and controlling dead stock
Investigate parts pricing
Manage tire usage and cost
Audit scrap tires
Manage outside tire vendors and the shipping of tires to outside terminals
Oversee the entry of tire data into Manager plus for tracking
Monitor the inventory levels of shop supplies and needed tools
Proactive procurement of parts needed for repairs to minimize delays
Responsible for outside vendor usage and cost metrics
Manage vendor relationships and issuing of purchase and work orders.
Authorizing work to be done at outside vendors and reconciling it by comparing issued work orders with the invoices.
QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years experience in the Diesel Maintenance Field and/or Inventory Control
