Job Summary: We are currently looking for an experienced and accomplished manager to lead, direct, and oversee the overall production operation to achieve the financial and operating objectives established by the organization's business plan. You provide leadership and guidance to the production manufacturing functions for multiple locations and support other areas of the business. Work collaboratively with quality, sales, compliance, supply chain, inventory control, and executive management in order to meet and exceed performance metrics such as: safety, product quality, on-time delivery, operational efficiency standards, and financial performance. Provide the leadership & proper organizational change management practices needed to address issues, motivate team members to manage and sustain compliance to applicable standards & certifications Your Accountabilities
Establish procedures and policies to effectively achieve production schedules, product standards, and operational costs, ensuring compliance of our standards.
Recognize and act upon issues related to production performance metrics such as on-time delivery, cost containment, inventory management, quality and production.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the production efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
Work collaboratively with peers, team members and employees to model our Core Values and Leadership Competencies.
Manage the development, engagement, and retention of the production operations staff & team by identifying the skill sets needed for success and providing opportunities for training and development.
Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budget and cost of production in each location to achieve financial objectives.
Manage materials and control plant spending by gauging production needs, overtime hours, scrap material and following lean processes to improve efficiency.
Develop, implement, & sustain lean enterprise system in all of the production process.
Manage and review capital investment considerations at the plant level.
Drive operational projects to meet performance & continuous improvement objectives.
Organize departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
Ensure a positive safety culture, safeguarding our employees and visitors always. This includes ensuring procedures and practices are in place and are being followed.
Focus on maintaining continuous improvement initiatives/activities within the operation.
Leads coordination and integration of efforts among production support, operations, technology, and customer service to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
Engage in and support human resources matters relating to staff, safety initiatives, and labor relations.
Provide leadership and guidance to the manufacturing support functions such as maintenance, quality control, supply and logistics, accounting, IT, and administration.
Job Requirements: Your Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree: Manufacturing or Engineering preferred, or relevant field required; Master's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of years of experience and degree.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing environment, supply chain and warehousing distribution.
Experience with continuous improvement projects is required.
Actively collaborate with internal and external business partners including sales team members, manufacturer representatives and customers.
Good attention to detail and ability to produce work quickly, accurately, and independently.
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and HR)
Work collaboratively in a team environment to accomplish company objectives with either direct or indirect authority.
Effectively lead, encourage, and motivate teams of employees to successfully complete critical and challenging projects.
Take action to set direction, make decisions and drive actions.
Demonstrated strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to think analytically and complete projects independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent prioritization, planning, organization, time management and multitasking skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and other related technical software programs.
