Human Resource – Recruiting Specialist

​Job Summary:


As part of a human resources team the Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for leading the staffing efforts of a company and building a strong workforce. This position will be responsible for the entire recruiting cycle from finding the potential candidates, screening them, hiring and onboarding in order to set them up for success. 
​
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with Human Resource Manager to determine staffing needs for the company
  • Coordinating interviews with hiring managers
  • Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up emails at the end of the recruiting process

  • Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges and industry associations
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Prepares new-employee files
  • Handles new employee onboarding
  • Assist with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions
  • Backup for submitting payroll on a weekly basis
  • Administers access cards and locker assigning at time of hire or termination
  • All other duties assigned

Hours & Classification:

 
The Human Resource Generalist will work Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm and be classified as a non-exempt employee.
 
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree, preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in HR or related field
  • Demonstrated solid working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Word & Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and possess excellent follow up skills
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques
  • Effective communication skills both oral and verbal
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Bilingual is a plus
