Your role, as our Billing Follow-Up Specialist, involves:
- Generating revenue by applying commercial insurance and third party payer program coverage (including Medicare and Medicaid) to patient accounts
- Utilizing hospital insurance and follow up / collections experience to finalize insurance payments
- Identifying underpayments, denials and re-bill attempts
- Reviewing charges and insurance information and reconciling accounts for accuracy

THE “MUST HAVES” (aka the Minimum job requirements)
- Hospital insurance related account receivable management experience
- Hospital insurance related follow-up or collection experience (commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare)
- Strong knowledge of National Uniformed Billing Code
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9/10 codes, HCFA 1500 and UB04 forms
- Working knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) interpretation
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required
- Consistent punctuality and attendance is required
- How would you rate your experience level with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)? (Choose No Knowledge, Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Experience.)
- How many years of working experience do you have with medical insurance related Accounts Receivable (A/R) Management?
- How many years of experience do you have with medical insurance claim follow-up?
- How would you rate your HCFA 1500 and UB04 form knowledge? (Choose No Knowledge, Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Experience.)
- How would you rate your CPT and ICD-9/10 code knowledge? (Choose No Knowledge, Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Experience.)
