Account Manager/ Outside Sales at our Medford Terminal

Oak Harbor Freight Lines has an opening for an Account Manager. The Account Manager is responsible for prospecting, evaluating customer needs, developing sales strategies, understanding the client business needs and successfully expanding Oak Harbor Freight Lines customer base while managing, expanding and retaining existing customer base.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments with existing accounts and new potential customers to build business and manage accounts in a manner that supports the customers and reinforces the value proposition for Oak Harbor Freight Lines.
• Cultivate and build personal relationships with client contacts. Develop solid understanding of customer business issues and needs to identify freight and shipment solutions that best meet those needs.
• In partnership with AMC, ensure consistent account management of existing accounts to support customer needs and identify additional sales and potential of account expansion.
• Negotiate pricing with customers based on OHFL company pricing guidelines. Coordinate exceptions and changes with the pricing department to meet customer needs.
• Prospect for new accounts through referrals, networking and partnership with AMC.
• Regular travel throughout assigned territory as dictated by customer need. Travel using company provided vehicle.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience and ability to develop and manage positive customer relationships.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to present to customers. Ability to listen for understanding and interpret customer requests.
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to organize multiple priorities and customer requirements simultaneously.
• Ability to self-manage and motivate with general guidance and direction.
• Effective skills working as a member of a team and ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong PC proficiency, analytical skills and experience using MS Office products.
• Must possess clean driving record and evidence of insurability.
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis on business and communications or equivalent work experience preferred
